Platform Migration & Modernization
We’re looking for a Service Now Developer to help lead and support the migration of our existing Service Now environment to the latest platform version. You’ll work with senior developers and platform leadership to redesign legacy workflows, modernize configurations, and deliver scalable automation across IT and business processes. This is a great fit for a hands-on developer who wants to contribute to a major modernization effort, whether you’re ready to lead complex enhancements or still growing toward that level.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Support the planning and execution of the migration to the newest Service Now release, including assessment, remediation, testing, cutover, and post-migration stabilization
- Document and review existing processes, workflows, catalog items, forms, approvals, and automations, and identify legacy configurations and gaps to clean up or rebuild
- Configure and develop solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and workflow automation using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, and Catalog Items
- Build and maintain integrations (REST/SOAP, Integration Hub, transform maps, data imports) and support data cleanup and validation
- Create dashboards, reports, and Performance Analytics to track process performance and migration readiness
- Support unit testing, UAT, defect tracking, and retesting
- Contribute to platform governance, code reviews, update set strategy, and release management best practices
- Explore and support Service Now AI capabilities such as Now Assist, AI Search, Virtual Agent, and Predictive Intelligence
- Produce documentation, knowledge articles, and handoff materials for operations teams
- 1+ years of Service Now administration, configuration, or development experience in an enterprise environment (5+ years preferred for senior-level responsibilities, including leading complex platform enhancements)
- Experience supporting upgrades, migrations, or major version transitions, including testing, documentation, and validation
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Service Now CSA certification (completed or in progress)
- Exposure to recent Service Now releases or a prior upgrade/migration project
- Hands-on experience with Now Assist and other Service Now AI tools
- Experience with integrations, import sets, transform maps, and UAT coordination
- Interest in growing into a senior Service Now developer role
