Logistics Associate I will be responsible for pulling equipment to unbox for sales orders and accurately and timely recording serial numbers on picking tickets using handheld electronic scanners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Read picking sales orders with bin locations and quantity on hand, and report any shortages to team lead.
- Pull equipment to unbox for orders using a pallet jack or power fork lift.
- Complete warehouse pick ticket with serial numbers and ensure all serial numbers match.
- Check for concealed damage before boxes are trashed; if damaged, the original box is needed to issue RA.
- Move unboxed items to staging and set‑up.
- Clean up any trash left over from the unit and keep work area clean at all times.
- Hand over order to Logistics Associate II for data entry.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Adhere to all safety precautions and follow safety requirements to perform job tasks.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Reports to Regional Supply Chain Manager and Warehouse Manager; no direct management of other employees.
JobQualifications & Skills Requirements
- Good oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization, vendors, and customers.
- Fork truck experience or ability to be certified within 90 days.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs independently or greater weights via team lift or lift assist equipment.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills.
- Familiarity with best warehouse practices.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math operations.
- Ability to read and comprehend written procedures, write routine documents.
- Ability to understand and execute multi‑step oral and written instructions.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Warehouse experience strongly preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Regular business hours, with some additional hours may be required.
- Travel:
Domestic up to 5%. - Ambient temperature warehouse or climate‑controlled office environment during normal business hours.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather as needed.
- Sitting: up to 2 hours/day.
- Lifting: up to 5 hours/day, 50 pounds.
- Walking & Standing: up to 8 hours/day.
- Pushing/Pulling: up to 6 hours/day.
- Bending/Squatting/Stooping: up to 5 hours/day.
- Reaching: up to 4 hours/day.
- Balancing: up to 4 hours/day.
- Twisting: up to 4 hours/day.
- Stairs & Step stool: up to 1 hour/day.
- Data entry/Typing: up to 5 hours/day.
- Excessive heat/cold exposure: up to 8 hours/day.
- Dust exposure: up to 8 hours/day.
- Loud noise exposure: up to 8 hours/day.
- Humidity exposure: up to 8 hours/day.
- Hands in water, crawling, kneeling: no continuous exposure noted.
