Operations Manager, General Labor
NILES is a design‑build firm specializing in high‑performance recording environments. We build technically precise, creatively inspiring spaces — and that same standard applies behind the scenes. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who’s hungry to learn, likes to stay moving, and takes pride in keeping things dialed. You’ll be on your feet, lifting, organizing, driving between HQ and job sites, and helping keep the entire operation flowing smoothly. If you’re the type of person who notices what needs to be done next — and just does it — you’ll thrive in this role.
- Organized and detail‑oriented.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Eager to learn inventory systems, fabrication, and construction.
- Positive attitude, reliable, and comfortable with physical, hands‑on work.
- $18‑22/hour, starting pay depending on experience.
- Opportunity for increases based on performance, reliability, and role ownership.
- PTO package.
- Consistent hours and predictable schedule.
- Hands‑on experience in a high‑end design/build environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory workflow.
- Receive, verify, and log all incoming materials (cross‑reference packing slips, flag discrepancies).

- Maintain organized shelving, labeled storage, and clean staging zones.
- Check HQ for incoming packages and deliveries.
- Empty trash and replace bags as needed.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop work areas as needed.
- Clean bathrooms (office, warehouse, shop) on weekly schedule.
- Clean office areas (conference table, desks, coffee bar).
- Change out HVAC air filters on scheduled intervals.
- Maintain an organized, professional HQ environment.
- Coordinate with COO to deliver emergency materials to job sites as needed.
- During delivery runs, assist with:
- Emptying jobsite trash bins
- Organizing and cleaning workstations and tool stations
- Support jobsite staging and deep cleans as scheduled
- Clean vehicles (interior trash removal, sweeping/vacuuming, wiping surfaces).
- Organize vehicles so each is stocked with the correct tools and first‑aid kits.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (fluids, tires).
- Coordinate service scheduling with vendors (e.g., tire service).
- Wash vehicle exteriors on scheduled intervals.
- Drop off and pick up tool repairs as needed.
- Highly organized, detail‑obsessed, and process‑driven.
- Able to self‑direct, prioritize, and keep momentum moving.
- Strong communication skills with team members and leadership.
- Comfortable working within systems with consistency and excellence.
- Experience with inventory systems.
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and staging materials.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Construction knowledge, warehouse, fabrication, or trades experience is helpful.
