We are offering a $2,500 retention bonus paid over the first year of employment. Drivers also have the opportunity to earn a $10,000 award every three years when meeting specific criteria.

The Front Load Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre‑assigned and special routes to pick up garbage. Performs pre‑trip and post‑trip truck checks and cleaning, and performs other related work as assigned. Work is performed under supervision and performance is reviewed through direct observation of routes and discussion of problems.

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state where the position works. Requires a safe driving record. Must be able to operate manual transmission.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines and practices; understanding of Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Exhibit normal range of body motion.
• Drive a front‑end, side, rear‑end, or roll‑off loading refuse truck, including a right‑hand driver’s position on certain equipment, observing legal and defensive driving practices.
• Manipulate heavy equipment control levers.
• Follow a designated refuse collection route or work schedule.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Maintain written records and service responses.
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co‑workers, dispatch and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals, and make legible entries on paperwork.

• Service commercial businesses picking up front load containers, emptying containers into the truck using levers inside the cab, and, as needed, moving 3‑4 yard can on castors weighing up to 600 pounds into position for dumping.
• Pick up loose trash off the truck and/or ground, clean spills, and transport waste to a designated local landfill/disposal area.
• Complete route and productivity sheets, record mileage and fuel consumption, maintain log book, complete vehicle condition reports, and other forms.
• Communicate professionally with customers and report any customer issues or complaints to appropriate internal contacts; provide a level of service that distinguishes Waste Pro through courteous and expeditious service.
• Ensure safe operation of the truck: conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, evaluate materials for collection, determine hazardous materials, make safe transport decisions, and safeguard all employees encountered.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each landfill run to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly; inspect and clean the truck (lift hood, check under hood, tire pressure, fluid levels, etc.).

• Attend and participate in corporation‑sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Keep up to date on current technology used by Waste Pro.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
