Remote pharmacist position supporting infusion and specialty pharmacy operations in Central and North Louisiana.

The clinical pharmacist specialist will provide clinical services in Oncology, Endocrinology, Urology, and Rheumatology across the Mary Bird organization for infusion and specialty pharmacy. Responsibilities include

• Assessing patient needs and incorporating age and disease‑specific characteristics into drug therapy and patient education.
• Adjusting care according to patient response and providing clinical interventions to detect, mitigate, and prevent medication adverse events.
• Serving as a departmental resource and liaison to other departments or external groups.
• Conducting clinical research and practice‑advancement projects, patient‑care quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance work to improve medication‑use processes.
• Providing medication‑related education and training, and serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
• Participating in the Quality Management Program by monitoring processes, analyzing data, implementing interventions, and evaluating effectiveness.

• Lead assigned patient service lines, clinical areas, and therapeutic programs.
• Manage medication and clinical practice.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration and communication.
• Participate in pharmacy operations and medication dispensing.
• Facilitate education, training, and practice advancement.

• Graduate of an ACPE‑accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Doctor of Pharmacy or other advanced degree (highly preferred).
• Completion of ASHP‑accredited PGY‑1 Pharmacy Residency.
• Completion of PGY‑2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency (preferred).
• Clinical pharmacy experience (2‑4 years) in a hospital setting, required if no PGY‑2 residency.
• Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of LA.

Knowledge of contemporary hospital/clinical practice and service, advanced pharmacy practice, specialty medication therapy management, and evidence‑based medicine in relevant clinical assignments.

Mid‑Senior level.
