HOURLY POULTRY PRODUCTION PROCESSOR

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process product using tools (including knives), manual labor, and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim’s standards and procedures. This involves repetitive motion, small hand movements, and standing for long periods.
  • Follow operating procedures to meet quality and quantity expectations.
  • Observe equipment operation, report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist colleagues with skills and knowledge gained from the position.
  • Adhere to all company policies on personnel, quality, safety, and food safety. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Recognize and respond to safety incidents and risks, practicing and promoting safe work habits.
  • Participate in process improvements and problem-solving using continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Follow all animal welfare guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    BASIC SKILLS AND

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40°F).
    • Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours daily.
    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
    • Must be a team player, willing to work closely with others (less than 3 feet apart at some stations).
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good hand-eye coordination.
    • Food or production experience preferred.
