HOURLY POULTRY PRODUCTION PROCESSOR

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process product using tools (including knives), manual labor, and equipment provided, in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim’s standards and procedures. This involves repetitive motion, small hand movements, and standing for long periods.

Follow operating procedures to process product according to quality and quantity expectations.

Observe equipment operation, notify appropriate personnel of malfunctions or safety concerns.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist others with skills and knowledge gained from the position.

Observe all company policies related to personnel, quality, safety, and food safety. Maintain a positive work environment through effective communication and cooperation with customers, co-workers, and leadership teams.

Recognize and act on incidents and safety risks. Practice and enforce safe work habits organization-wide.

Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using continuous improvement methodologies.

Follow all company animal welfare guidelines.

Perform other duties as directed.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

BASIC SKILLS AND

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40°F).
Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
Ability to multitask and work quickly.
Must be a team player, willing to work close to others (less than 3 feet apart).
Good communication skills.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Food or production experience preferred.
