Part-time Grade 1
Starting $15.00/hr. (Full hiring range is $15.00/ hr.
- $15.92/hr.)
Work Hours are: 2:00pm - 6:00pm, Mondays - Thursdays. The schedule is flexible, work 1-4x per week
Natick Recreation and Parks is seeking energetic, responsible, and fun-loving applicants who enjoy working with older youth to join the Teen Center staff. The Teen Center is seeking program Instructors to support the daily activities and supervision after school! The Teen Center is a drop-in program, open Monday-Thursday from 2-6pm. Participants can choose how they would like to spend their afternoons, including playing in the gym or on the fields, finishing their homework, and hanging out with friends.
Essential Functions:- Take primary responsibility for the health, well-being and happiness of participants
- Get to know all assigned participants
- Encourage respect for personal property, program equipment and facilities
- Set a good example across all programs, events
- Guide campers in participating successfully in all aspects of activities
- Supervise, and actively participate in all aspects of the participants’ day
- Observe participant behavior, enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques when needed
- Actively participate in training and weekly meetings
- Assist with setup and breakdown, log issues or concerns on facility or equipment with supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. - Ideal applicants should be minimum of 16 years old
- Has or is able to obtain current CPR/FA Certification approved by Massachusetts State Health Department upon hire
