Brandon Residential Treatment Center is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our on-site, therapeutic school. In this important role, you will support boys and young men who have faced challenges in traditional educational settings, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive and structured environment.

HIRING FOR 3 POSITIONS WITH TWO OPTIONS

Option 1
Special Education Teacher, 12mo schedule (All general education licensed teachers will have a 12 month schedule with generous time off package)
Option 2
SPED Teacher, 10mo schedule (All special education licensed teachers will work 190 days with an additional 7 sick/personal days to use when school is in session)
Position Responsibilities:
- Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, caring atmosphere for youth at Brandon
- Demonstrate an understanding of child development relevant to the age group of the program.
- Demonstrate an ability to form and maintain positive, nurturing relationships with youth by building trust and supporting competencies through interest and active engagement.
- Demonstrate an awareness of the physical and emotional environment by contributing to the school being a place that is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing, appropriately engaging and stimulating, which fosters growth and resilience.
- Work as part of a team to identify needs and strategies to meet those needs.
- Training for and implementing physical intervention as needed
Qualifications
- Valid MA teaching licensure
- Experience working in school setting or with similar population required
- Valid driver’s license. Valid DEEC CORI/Background check
Salary: $52,000 - $65,000
