Instructor - Teen Center; Part Time

Work hours:

2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Mondays – Thursdays.

Schedule is flexible; work 1–4 times per week.

The Teen Center is a drop‑in program open Monday–Thursday from 2–6 p.m. Participants can choose how to spend their afternoons, including playing in the gym or on the fields, finishing homework, and hanging out with friends.

• Take primary responsibility for the health, well‑being and happiness of participants
• Get to know all assigned participants
• Encourage respect for personal property, program equipment and facilities
• Set a good example across all programs and events
• Guide participants to successfully engage in all aspects of activities
• Supervise and actively participate in all aspects of the participants’ day
• Observe participant behavior, enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior‑management techniques when needed
• Actively participate in training and weekly meetings
• Assist with set‑up and breakdown, log issues or concerns on facility or equipment with supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Education and experience:
  
  any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform essential functions
• Ideal applicants should be at least 16 years old

• Has or is able to obtain current CPR/FA certification approved by the Massachusetts State Health Department upon hire
