Work hours:
2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Mondays – Thursdays.
Schedule is flexible; work 1–4 times per week.
Program OverviewThe Teen Center is a drop‑in program open Monday–Thursday from 2–6 p.m. Participants can choose how to spend their afternoons, including playing in the gym or on the fields, finishing homework, and hanging out with friends.
Essential Functions- Take primary responsibility for the health, well‑being and happiness of participants
- Get to know all assigned participants
- Encourage respect for personal property, program equipment and facilities
- Set a good example across all programs and events
- Guide participants to successfully engage in all aspects of activities
- Supervise and actively participate in all aspects of the participants’ day
- Observe participant behavior, enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior‑management techniques when needed
- Actively participate in training and weekly meetings
- Assist with set‑up and breakdown, log issues or concerns on facility or equipment with supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and experience:
any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform essential functions - Ideal applicants should be at least 16 years old
- Has or is able to obtain current CPR/FA certification approved by the Massachusetts State Health Department upon hire
