• You will serve as a Senior Project Leader, Scientist, and Supervisor for the Uniform and Certification Group (NCTRF
  01) at the Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility (NCTRF).
• You will plan, conduct, and/or coordinate major programs of broad scope in the area of uniforms and protective clothing.
• You will direct, plan, and execute research, development, design, test and evaluation program for uniforms, protective clothing, materials, and textiles.
• You will provide supervision, direction, and oversight of Clothing Designers and Textile Technologists.
• You will serve as a Technical Warrant Holder for Naval Uniforms.

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret level security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Engineering and Technical Management (ETM) Level II (2). Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• This a Defense Acquisition Workforce position that requires an Engineering and Technical Management, Practitioner acquisition certification. You will have 60 months to earn this certification.
• You must obtain and maintain certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66.
• Acquisition Workforce (AWF) members must complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66.
• Obtaining certification within the period and maintaining CLPs are conditions of employment. Failure to meet these requirements could result in disciplinary action and/or removal from employment.
• You may be required to travel up to 25%.
