Facility Engineering Technician – your role focuses on efficient delivery of support services for Busek Co. Inc., improving productivity of the core business by coordinating demand and supply of facilities and services. You’ll bring experience in operations and facility maintenance, property management, environmental stewardship, and sustainability at this small aerospace company based in Natick, MA.

Our talented staff covers in-space propulsion, space-borne sensors, materials science, manufacturing, and high-fidelity electronic design. Busek is well known in the spacecraft on-orbit propulsion community with numerous awards and achievements, including the first US Hall Effect Thruster in space. We span R&D to manufacturing of aerospace systems and low-volume production of high-reliable in-space components and subsystems.
Our labs cover over 30K sq.ft. with more than 20 vacuum chambers ranging from 9-foot to desktop size. Founded over three decades ago, Busek is located in Natick, MA, about 20 miles west of Boston.
- Setup, support operations and preventative maintenance of high-quality production and R&D facilities
- Maintain production manufacturing and R&D infrastructure (aerospace vacuum tanks, machining, welding, brazing operations, X-ray inspection, etc.)
- Enhancement and expansion of capability through facility changes as required
- Support installation and operation of specific equipment and appliances
- Ensure EHS compliance (OHSA, ISO-9001, fire safety, security, access and surveillance)
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements related to facilities (fire safety arrangements, lighting levels, signage, ventilation, temperature control)
- Maintenance of facility
- Building and grounds maintenance including snow removal, lighting, landscaping
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, LN2 facility
- Space allocation, utilization, and furniture
- Electrical installation and design
- PLC programming, controller design and installation for vacuum control systems
- Experience with vacuum systems (low, high, and UHV)
- Experience with general maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance)
- Experience in a hardware engineering company
