Description
Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Design Fabrication Technician to join the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Soldier Center (CCDC‑SC) and contribute to innovative projects that directly enhance soldier safety, readiness, and mission success.

Mission: Supporting the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Soldier Center (CCDC‑SC)
What You’ll Do- Design & Fabricate
:
Participate in the design, development, and fabrication of parachute and shelter components. - Prototype Development
:
Create preliminary layouts, execute design details, and fabricate prototypes using knowledge of construction techniques, production methods, and materials. - Precision Repairs
:
Repair and modify airdrop and shelter equipment with fine seams and replacement parts that match original strength and quality. - Support Innovation
:
Assist engineers and project managers by fabricating experimental/prototype parachutes, cargo delivery systems, shelters, tents, covers, and other soft‑wall structures. - Collaborate & Interpret
:
Work from work orders, blueprints, sketches, and verbal concepts, consulting with design draftsmen and engineers to bring ideas to life.
- Demonstrated ability with industrial sewing machines.
- High school diploma plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabricate products efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Solid analytical and technical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of personal parachute systems and assembly (civilian or military).
- Experience following technical manual procedures.
- Skills in CAD and/or Solid Works.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Pay Range: $55,250.00 – $99,875.00 (general guideline; final compensation based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity).
