At Delsys, we apply scientific and engineering principles to develop innovative, human-centric technology that advances the fields of human movement, rehabilitation, and physiological sensing. We are seeking a Research Scientist who is passionate about experimental research and scientific communication.
This role emphasizes the design and execution of experiments, coordination with clinical research partners and engineers/scientists, and the preparation of reports, publications, and grant proposals. Your work will not only advance scientific understanding through rigorous research and publication but also ensure that new ideas are effectively disseminated to end users and translated into impactful products that provide real-world outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities- Design and conduct research studies in collaboration with engineers, scientists, and clinicians.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, using statistical and computational tools.
- Prepare and deliver scientific outputs, including reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.
- Translate research findings into engineering solutions, working closely with product development teams.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- PhD (or M.S. with 2+ years of experience) in engineering or biomedical field (e.g., physiology, neuroscience, rehabilitation science, kinesiology, or related).
- Strong scientific writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g. Python, MATLAB, or similar).
