The Jewelry Consultant role at Kay Jewelers, on-site position. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through jewelry selections to create a positive and memorable shopping experience. The Jewelry Consultant explains product features, quality, and care, assists with sizing and special orders, and processes sales and returns accurately using point-of-sale systems. The role also involves maintaining visual standards, ensuring displays are clean and organized, and helping with inventory counts and stock replenishment.

Jewelry Consultants collaborate with team members, follow store policies and security procedures, and participate in ongoing product and sales training.

• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to engage with customers clearly, listen actively, and convey product information confidently.
• Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Experience skills to build rapport, handle questions and concerns professionally, and ensure a welcoming store environment.
• Candidates should possess Retail Sales skills to meet or exceed sales goals, recommend complementary products, and accurately complete transactions.
• Candidates should possess Jewelry Design interest or aptitude to discuss styles, settings, and customization options and to appreciate current trends in jewelry.
• Candidates should demonstrate reliability, integrity, and attention to detail, with the ability to stand for extended periods and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Prior retail or jewelry experience is helpful but not required; a willingness to learn, participate in training, and grow within the company is highly valued.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with basic math and computer skills for handling sales transactions and inventory tasks.
