Overview
Ion Bank is seeking a Senior Banker. Responsibilities- Provide superior customer service and perform banking functions with a high level of expertise.
- Open accounts, handle customer inquiries and maintenance, conduct teller transactions and branch operations.
- Contribute to branch profitability by cross-selling products/services to new/existing customers.
- Project a positive and highly professional image of self and the Bank, delivering service in line with company standards.
- Possess excellent working knowledge of all bank products and services, including business banking.
- Identify customers’ financial needs and opportunities that lead to referrals to business partners.
- Meet with customers face-to-face and over the phone to provide product and service recommendations.
- Promote, cross-sell and upsell bank products and services.
- Open accounts, perform account maintenance and provide timely and accurate customer service solutions.
- Interview applicants, answer loan questions, submit loan applications and ensure documentation is accurate.
- Register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) and maintain a unique identifying number with appropriate training.
- Maintain knowledge of branch systems, procedures, policies, cash handling and transaction processing.
- Balance daily transactions, order money, and compile currency transaction reports.
- Process customer transactions accurately and courteously; ensure work is complete and accurate.
- Assist in resolving problems with branch equipment, balancing and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s security policy, loss prevention guidelines and related programs.
- High school diploma required.
- Two to five years of retail banking experience including teller, sales or a related combination of education and experience.
- Some supervisory experience preferred.
- Additional college, management, or related courses.
