We are a leading manufacturer of anodized aluminum packaging for the cosmetics, spirits, and pharmaceutical markets, with over 60 years of anodizing expertise. Our Naugatuck, CT tool room makes the specialized tooling that keeps our eyelet machines running. We are a stable, established company with multiple plants, and the work here is skilled and hands-on.
Why join us?- Direct hire opportunity with an established manufacturer
- Competitive pay of $30 - $40 per hour based on experience

- Not a high-volume production shop: varied, small-quantity tooling work with no repetitive part runs
- Room to grow from lathe work into a versatile lathe and mill role
- Hands-on training on our Okuma equipment
We are looking for a CNC Machinist to join our tool room on first shift. You will start on our two-axis and three-axis Okuma lathes and, once you are proficient, move into a more versatile role alternating between CNC milling and lathe work based on departmental priorities. Responsibilities- Set up and operate two-axis and three-axis Okuma CNC lathes
- Transition into CNC milling and lathe operations as workload demands
- Perform frequent machine setups and changeovers throughout the day
- Program and edit CNC programs for small-quantity, custom tooling
- Machine specialized tooling for our eyelet machines, often in runs of just a handful of parts
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to meet specifications
- Work with the tool room team to prioritize jobs and keep deadlines on track
- Experience operating both CNC lathes and CNC mills
- Strong setup and changeover skills
- CNC programming experience (Okuma experience is a plus)
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Comfortable with small-batch, job-shop style work
- Adaptable, with the ability to move between machines and operations
- Reliable and able to work first shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
