We’re seeking a creative and skilled 2D Spine Animator to bring characters, environments, and visual effects to life in our games. You’ll work closely with artists, designers, and developers to craft engaging animations that enhance gameplay, storytelling, and player immersion.

JOB LOCATION:

Navi Mumbai

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create high-quality 2D animations for mobile games using Spine, Unity Animation, and other relevant tools, and seamlessly integrate them into Unity.
Possess strong hands-on knowledge of Unity’s workflow, including asset management, prefabs, scenes, materials, shaders, animation systems, and rendering pipeline.
Independently troubleshoot and resolve animation, asset, material, and visual-related issues in Unity, including layering, sorting, rigging, sprites, particle effects, and other integration challenges.
Maintain a clean and scalable Unity project structure by following proper folder hierarchy, asset organization, naming conventions, and dependency management.
Optimize animation and visual assets for mobile performance, with a good understanding of texture optimization, sprite atlases, compression settings, memory usage, draw calls, and overall performance best practices.
Take end-to-end ownership of the animation implementation pipeline—from asset creation to final in-game integration—while working closely with developers, artists, and designers with minimal technical dependency.
Understand mobile game production pipelines, technical limitations, and best practices to ensure smooth and efficient implementation.

Experience with version control tools such as Git/Bitbucket, including creating branches, committing changes, handling basic merge conflicts, and following established development workflows independently.

REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience of 4+ yrs as a 2D animator in the game industry.
Proficiency in animation software (e.g., Spine, Unity, Adobe Animate, After Effects, Toon Boom, Unity).
Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, weight, anticipation, etc.).

Experience with rigging and creating reusable animation assets.
Ability to adapt to different art styles.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable working in an iterative, fast-paced development environment.
