What We’re Looking For - Role Brief
We are hiring a process-oriented, target-driven, and highly analytical Team Lead - BDM to manage and scale a team of 10–12 Business Development Managers.
This role demands high ownership, energy, and strong accountability. You will own end-to-end sales execution from client product demos to closures ensuring strict pipeline discipline, consistent follow-ups, stronger objection handling, and improved conversion rates.
The ideal candidate is deeply data-driven, comfortable reading dashboards, tracking key sales KPIs, identifying performance gaps, and taking corrective actions in real time. You should be able to diagnose why deals are stuck, why demos aren’t converting, and where follow-ups are breaking and immediately implement structured solutions to drive monthly targets.
Beyond numbers, you will actively work with BDM’s to review their performance, pitches , and provide sharp, actionable feedback to improve probing, positioning, objection handling, and closing skills.
Through continuous coaching, performance reviews, and focused improvement plans, you will uplift low performers and push strong performers to the next level.
Your mission is to build a high-performance sales engine, drive top-line revenue growth, and ensure every BDM consistently performs at their peak potential.
What you’ll do:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10–12 BDMs who are directly responsible for revenue closures.
Own team revenue targets and ensure consistent achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly numbers.
Drive higher productivity and improve conversion rates across the entire sales funnel (Meeting Conduction → Follow-ups → Conversion → Closure).
Drive funnel performance metrics like:
Meeting Conducted to Closure% , CVR%
Ensure strong pipeline hygiene, accurate CRM updates, and disciplined follow-up mechanisms.
Identify performance gaps amongst BDM, funnel bottlenecks and leakage points, conduct root cause analysis through dashboards, and implement structured corrective actions.
Review BDM demo meetings, and pitch quality to improve probing, objection handling, negotiation, and closing capabilities.
Conduct daily huddles, weekly reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions to drive accountability and performance improvement.
Create and execute individual performance improvement plans for underperformers while accelerating high performers.
Ensure adherence to sales processes, SOPs, and quality standards across the team.
Motivate and energize the team to maintain high ownership, urgency, and a closure-first mindset.
Track team metrics, generate performance reports, and continuously optimize processes to improve predictability and scalability of revenue.
Stay updated on digital marketing trends and industry shifts to help the team position solutions effectively and confidently.
Track performance metrics, prepare sales reports, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Ensure optimal team strength by maintaining planned headcount and minimizing attrition through strong engagement, performance management, and retention strategies.
Proactively monitor team morale, identify early signs of burnout or disengagement, and take corrective actions to maintain a stable, high-performing team structure.
