About the Role
We are looking for a highly skil led, han ds-on AI/ML leader to drive state-of-the-art personalization, recommendations, and content discovery at  Jio Saavn.

Responsibilities
Lead the strategy and execution of AI/ML initiatives that power personalization across homepages, autoplay, and content di
scovery.

Partner closely with engineering, and product teams to ship high-impact ML features a
t scale.

Mentor and grow a team of engineers and scientists, while remaining deeply technical y
ourself.

Shape Jio Saavn's long-term AI/ML roadmap, ensuring we stay at the forefront of recommendation systems, user understanding, and genera
tive AI.Your work will directly impact how millions of users discover music every single day.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related quantita
tive field.
8+ years of relevant industry experience in applied AI/ML, data science, or closely rela
ted fields.
3+ years of experience in people management and/or technical leadership, managing engineers and/or data scientists.

Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with core
ML techniques:

Supervised learning, ranking, recommen
dation systems

Deep learning (e.g., representation learning, se
quence models)
Applied NLP and/or
user modelling

Proven track record of taking ML solutions from prototype to producti
on, including:

Scalable data pipelines and featu
re engineering

Deployment & se
rving at scale

Experimentation, A/B testing, and continuo
us improvement

Monitoring, alerting, and model lifecy
cle management

Experience with modern MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking, model regi
stries, etc.).Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience in AI/ML research or advanced development (publications, patents, or open-source contributions)
is a strong plus.

Familiarity with recent advancements in large language models (LLMs) and generative AI—and an interest in applying them to music discovery—is a plus.
