We’re looking for a caring, reliable, and hands‑on Study Support Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis. This role is approximately 22 hours per week, working:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:30–12:00 / 1:00–3:00pm (Hours/days may be subject to change)

About the role

You’ll be supporting learners to access their education fully and safely. A key part of this role involves providing personal care, including intimate care such as toileting, in line with individual personal, medical, and therapeutic care plans. We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, and confident supporting students with a wide range of needs.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting students during lessons and practical activities, both in and out of the classroom

* Providing personal care as required, including intimate care tasks

* Supervising students during break/lunch times and at the start/end of the college day, including escorting learners to taxis

* Keeping simple records of student progress and helping prepare feedback

* Assisting with reading, writing, note‑taking, and building portfolio evidence

* Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive interaction with peers

* Using specialist equipment and resources to support learning

* Accompanying students and lecturers on trips and off‑site activities

* Promoting inclusion and maintaining high expectations as a positive role model

* Working closely with lecturers and attending regular team meetings

* Contributing to reviews of support strategies and learner progress

What we’re looking for

* Experience supporting young people or adults with additional needs

* Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent)

* Confident IT skills (MS Office, basic data entry)

* A Level 2 qualification in Learning Support for Adults and Young People would be an advantage

Experience, Training & Qualifications
* Introduction to Safeguarding – Available FREE via Suppleo Education Other Requirements
* Right to work in UK
* Two references
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (formerly CRB check) – available via Suppleo Education
