Pro Rata Salary: M1 £ 20,157.60 - UP3 £ 31,159.20 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)

Coleg Cambria is seeking a Lecturer in Media to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in media, across level 2, 3 and 4 courses.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media and be able to teach a range of subjects including journalism, digital media, film, and television production. The role also involves creating and delivering innovative and engaging teaching materials, ensuring that the curriculum is up-to-date and relevant to the needs of students.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential, a strong commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.

Essential Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, C&G 7407)
  • Educated to a minimum Level 4 qualification
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
  • Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment

Welsh Language skills are an essential requirement for this role. Welsh learners will need to be at Level 3 and demonstrate a commitment to achieving fluency. Coleg Cambria are committed to supporting this development through a tailored professional development plan. A Welsh Language skills assessment will form part of the selection process to identify competence, confidence and suitability for a development plan.
