Position: Specialist 1:1 Study Skills Tutor (SpLD/ASC)

We are seeking Study Skills Tutors across the UK, with urgent needs in London, Huddersfield, Lincoln, Birmingham, Liverpool, Hatfield, Exeter, Southend-on-Sea, Newcastle, and Chichester. Onyx Support is looking for enthusiastic and committed Study Skills Tutors to work within universities and further education colleges in partnership with us.

Your role will involve supporting students based on individual assessments, ensuring high-quality, positive service that removes barriers to participation in higher and further education. You will encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop their skills, providing expertise in study strategies to help students enhance their learning.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold a Degree and Teaching Qualification OR Professional Body membership from the following:

  • PATOSS:
    Full or associate membership
  • British Dyslexia Association (BDA):
    Full professional membership
  • The Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE):
    Professional membership
  • Dyslexia Guild:
    Associate Member (ADG), Associate Member (ADG FE/HE), Member (MDG), Fellow (FDG)

Additionally, you must hold ASC Training to support students with ASC. Training can be provided.
