Teaching Personnel is proud to be working exclusively in partnership with a specialist School in the Neath area to recruit a Full‑Time ALN Teaching Assistant for the  academic year.

This is a rewarding, long‑term opportunity supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a nurturing, structured, and highly specialist environment. Due to the complexity of learner needs, shortlisted applicants must be able to commit to full‑time hours for the full academic year.

This is a highly supportive, inclusive ALN setting specialising in supporting children with complex additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Challenging behaviour
• Speech, language & communication needs
• Sensory processing differences
• Trauma‑informed and attachment‑aware profiles

You’ll be joining a warm, experienced, and supportive staff team who work collaboratively to ensure every child can thrive.

As a Full‑Time ALN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support
• Use positive handling strategies where required
• Support learning across the curriculum
• Work closely with teachers and support staff
• Help pupils develop independence, confidence & communication
• Be a consistent, trusted adult for learners who need stability

Qualifications and experience:

• Team Teach Level 2 (Ideal)
• Experience in SEN / ALN / SEMH settings
• Background in care, youth work, psychology or education
• Trauma‑informed or behaviour support experience
