Job Title:

Senior Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: Barnet

Terms: Weekly shift pattern 6am-3pm / 9am-6pm, with on call

Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Requirements:

NVQ / City of Guilds certificate/background
Previous Hospital, Medical Gas, Chargehand experience
Level 3 Qualification

About the company:

A well-established maintenance provider renowned for prestigious contracts. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Multi-Skilled Engineer on a hospitality building in Barnet. The company promotes staff internally and aims to add a strong Multi-Skilled Engineer to their team.

Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe environment for all users, promote safety culture, and ensure adherence to H&S procedures and policies. Manage the Permit to Work system.

Undertake Responsible Person/Authorised Person duties as required. Act as a role model for Safe Systems of Work. Participate in the call rota. Undertake training as needed.

Manage approved contractors, ensure work is covered by suitable RA/MS, and monitor delegated activities for quality and safety.

Follow company processes, effectively manage the engineering team's workload.

Conduct spot check audits on completed work to ensure standards and proper reporting.

Oversee the M&E team at an engineering level, identify improvements, and escalate issues as necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

Client-facing experience involving direct interaction with clients or customers
Strong Mechanical and Electrical background
Previous experience as an Engineer
