Candour Talent are currently recruiting for a Test Engineer to join our client based in Swansea.

Swansea.

Employment Type:

Permanent/Full Time.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday. Salary: £32k+. Benefits:
Company pension and 25+8 days annual leave.

Our client is a growing engineering company specialising in hygienic process design, membrane filtration systems, CIP systems, and stainless‑steel fabrications. The role involves planning, managing, and delivering technical trials using pilot plant and laboratory equipment across the UK and internationally, primarily in the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, dairy, and chemical industries.

Responsibilities
  • Lead customer trial planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Prepare, commission, and operate pilot plant equipment for membrane and process testing applications.
  • Conduct trials at company facilities and customer sites.
  • Collect, validate, and analyse technical data.
  • Interpret trial results to produce reports, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Communicate results to customers and stakeholders.
  • Liaise directly with customers before, during, and after trials to ensure objectives are achieved and expectations are met.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within testing procedures and trial methods.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and operational quality.
Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related scientific discipline preferred; relevant practical experience also considered.
  • Experience in laboratory, pilot plant, manufacturing, or engineering environments is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and produce clear reports.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
  • Full driving licence required.
