DS Smith is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on role where you'll play an important part in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely, reliably and efficiently.
Working 37.5 hours per week , you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding and repairs, while also supporting the wider engineering team with mechanical breakdowns .
What you'll be doing
- Responding quickly and effectively to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Carrying out electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs across site machinery and equipment.
- Supporting mechanical maintenance and breakdown activities as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.
- Completing planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities to a high standard.
- Identifying recurring faults and contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Working safely in line with company procedures, risk assessments and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities through the site's maintenance management systems.
