Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major drainage project based in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineering professional to contribute to the successful delivery of a key infrastructure project on an initial 12-month contract.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in drainage, utilities or infrastructure projects, and the ability to oversee engineering activities on site.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage day-to-day engineering activities on the drainage project.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, construction plans and engineering documentation.
- Carry out setting out, surveys and quality control inspections as required.
- Coordinate with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Monitor progress against project programmes and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and environmental requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, providing engineering support to the site team.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and quality assurance documentation.
- Proven experience in a Senior Engineer or similar civil engineering role.
- Tier 1 contractor experience
- Previous experience working on drainage, utilities or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and construction methods.
- Experience with setting out, surveying and quality control.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to health and safety and quality management.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
