Financial Controller

The Role

This is more than accounts and reports - it’s about being the backbone of a fast-growing business. You’ll be the one who makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, from finances and budgets to contracts and compliance, giving the team the confidence to focus on customers and growth.

It’s a full-time role, ideal for someone who wants meaningful responsibility, the space to work independently, and the satisfaction of knowing their work directly shapes the success of a growing brand.

• Manage day-to-day accounts - invoicing, payments, payroll, and bookkeeping
• Complete bi-weekly/monthly reconciliation of accounts
• Monitor consignment stocks and complete month-end close of accounts with accruals
• Prepare reports on sales and interpreting it to guide decision-making
• Complete month-end close of accounts with accruals and adjustments as necessary
• Execute monthly/ quarterly tax returns
• Manage drafting and execution of contracts and supplier agreements

• Strong experience in bookkeeping, finance, and operations
• Highly organised and methodical with close attention to detail
• Comfortable bringing order to complexity with a structured work ethic
• Confidence with accounting software/ reporting platforms (eg Xero, Stripe, Amazon, Shopify)
• Independent with initiative - someone who thrives on finding solutions and improvements
• A team player who wants their contribution to matter in a growing and ambitious business
• Above average knowledge of Excel
• Good knowledge of VAT and PAYE and other taxes
• Flexibility and a willingness to get involved in other areas of the business (sales, logistics and HR)
