Overview

Exciting Group Management Accountant opportunity in South Wales for a fully qualified finance professional. Our client, a franchise‑approved car dealership group in South Wales, is recruiting for a Group Management Accountant to join their senior finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Director and working closely with the Board of Directors, this role is key for leading month‑end reporting, strengthening controls, and managing financial processes across the business.

Duties
  • Take ownership of monthly accounts for the group, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery as Group Management Accountant
  • Maintain and update cash flow sheets and support forecasting where required
  • Oversee payroll processes for the client’s management and family team, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Supervise the Sales/Purchase Ledger team and manage day‑to‑day performance through other line managers
  • Maintain strong balance sheet control measures and ensure reconciliations are completed on schedule
  • Lead intercompany reconciliation and other related business support activities
  • Produce, export, manipulate and present reports in Microsoft Excel to support board‑level decisions
Requirements
  • Fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant (fully qualified)
  • Proven experience supervising an Accounts Department with multiple team members, including delegation and review
  • Automotive industry experience required
  • Strong knowledge of computerised accounts systems using a DMS, including report extraction and manipulation
  • Excellent Excel skills (exporting, analysing, and presenting data)
  • Highly organised, self‑motivated approach with strong numeracy and communication skills
