Overview
Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Team Leader in our Broadstreet Supported Living Service in Coventry.
The Supported Living service supports 19 males and females with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning disabilities in their own apartment. We provide support for daily living skills and help support with socialisation, providing specialised person centred support. Radis recognises each person as an individual and provides a unique service tailored to their specific needs with a consistent approach throughout their life.
RoleAs a Team Leader you will provide support to our Supported Living Services, delivering specialised person centred support. You will work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services to oversee the smooth running of these services, complete regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, update and review support plans, and work to ensure that individuals achieve their outcomes.
The role includes scheduling / allocating work to the Support Workers, supporting with medication, personal care tasks and covering shifts within the services. The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community and attending appointments; therefore a driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
Skills and Qualifications- Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism and mental health issues is essential.
- Previous experience as a Team Leader is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations.
- A driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
