Do you have a passion for helping vulnerable people enjoy as much fulfilment as they can and feel included in their community? If compassion, care and inclusiveness are an important part of who you are, our opportunities to work away from the routine in a demanding, challenging yet emotionally rewarding role could be for you.

Turning Point Scotland Services in South Ayrshire are looking for people like you to help provide individualized support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland is a national social care charity providing services to people with addictions, learning disabilities, mental health issues, those in the criminal justice system and those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We deliver services to people with learning disabilities, on the autistic spectrum and with mental health needs. We have been successfully supporting adults in South Ayrshire since 2004.

Supports are either community based or within the person's own home. People are supported to become active members of their community through accessing local resources, building on skills, maintaining and developing friendships, employment opportunities and working towards agreed outcomes.

Each individual has a committed staff team who work together to deliver a bespoke person‑centred package to meet the individual’s needs and achieve agreed outcomes. We focus on enabling individuals to meet their aspirations, develop new skills, increase self‑esteem and get the most out of life.

The support we provide is always person‑centred, involving people who know the person well, including family and friends, other health and social work professionals, advocacy services and our own staff members.

No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team!

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives, such as keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and well‑being.

We welcome applications from all candidates who are eligible to work in the United Kingdom. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.

Please note that IT skills are required for all our vacancies.
