IRO / CP Chair

£80,000 - £86,974.41

Are you an experienced IRO / CP chair who is looking for an exciting relocation, perhaps the beautiful Channel Islands?

We are looking for an Independent Reviewing Officer / CP Chair to join a children's services team on the Channel Islands. If you are unfamiliar with the channel islands, they are the gem of the British Isles, getting all the best of the British weather, whilst further benefiting from their local tax rate of just 20%.

As an IRO you will be ensuring the quality of performance and service by reviewing and planning systems for the safeguarding of the children and young people of the islands; scrutinising and analysing the work of social workers on the islands is part and parcel of the role – where necessary you will challenge practice and consult with them to make improvements.

Due to the supervisory responsibilities of the role you will be expected to be on the island from Monday-Friday, but the council does help source, and provide cheaper accommodation for those within the service. It also has its own tax legislation, meaning the role falls outside IR35, meaning more take‑home pay!

This role pays a great salary of up to £86,974.41, along with a service that has received over 700 5
* Google reviews – this means weekly check‑ins, support on your placement, and a market‑leading timesheet & payroll system that means Fridays are no longer a stress of refreshing your bank to see if your money is coming!

Further benefits
  • Up to 5k relocation fee & support with the move
  • Constant support from us throughout the process
  • Beautiful location by the sea, relaxed pace of life making for a great lifestyle move
  • 16% Pension
  • Supportive and longstanding senior management
Qualifications

As this is a statutory role, you do require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.

If you want to know more, please apply, or email Chris on [email removed] for more details (or call on [phone removed]).
