Overview
A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team based near Newport. The main objective of the role is to be responsible for the commercial strategy for all tenders and projects in the region.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a mid-sized commercial team across regional projects.
- Create and drive the commercial strategy, ensuring projects are successfully delivered and profit margins are achieved.
- Oversee procurement and subcontractor management, ensuring contractual compliance.
- Lead tender reviews, identify risks and opportunities.
- Deliver robust CVR and progress reporting to senior leadership.
- Work closely with Project Teams to optimise forecasts and cash flow.
- Build strong client and supply chain relationships, resolving disputes in a timely manner.

Projects ranging in value from £1.5m-£40m, covering both new build substations and substation refurbishment works.
All projects are delivered using NEC4 contracts, you must therefore have strong experience using NEC contracts in your current and/or previous roles.
Candidate RequirementsOur client is looking for Commercial Managers looking for a career move. They are also interested in speaking to an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyors who is looking for career progression.
You will have a minimum of 10 years experience delivering the commercial requirements for infrastructure projects for tier 1 contractors.
You will have a minimum of 3 years leadership experience creating and delivering commercial strategies and leading small to medium sized commercial teams.
