Production Manager

About The Role

A great opportunity has arisen for a Concrete Production Manager to join the management team at Brett Concrete, responsible for several concrete plants within the Business. Covering the Kent and Sussex areas.

• Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of Operations, Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Sustainability.
• Budget responsibility for all aspects of operational spend including fixed and variable costs. Produce accurate financial forecasts for capital expenditure and exceptional maintenance spend.
• Provide leadership, recruit new members of staff, and ensure training and development plans are in place.
• Maximise plant availability and output through effective maintenance plans and utilisation of LEAN Six Sigma techniques.
• Ensure accurate stock management procedures and controls are in place.
• Provide the highest level of customer service and product quality to Brett Concretes customers.

• The successful applicant will possess or be prepared to work towards the relevant SHE qualifications, MPQC Level 4 Diploma (or similar and or started), IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, IEMA Environmental Sustainability for Managers or equivalent.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team of people at the highest standards with a minimum of 2-3 years’ leadership experience in a similar role covering multi sites within the concrete or construction industry is essential.
• You will need to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a committed team as well as being a goal setting self-starter.
• In addition, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop personal relationships with both external and internal customers and suppliers.
