Head of Asset Strategy

The Head of Asset Strategy leads the development and delivery of the organisation’s long-term asset management strategy, ensuring that assets are safe, compliant, sustainable, and deliver maximum social, environmental, and financial value. The role aligns asset decisions with the Strategic Business Plan and provides clear strategic direction for investment, planning, and portfolio optimisation to achieve alignment with the ISO
55001 standard.
The postholder is responsible for assessing asset performance and shaping long-term decisions on investment, regeneration, or disposal, ensuring strong outcomes across compliance, cost efficiency, customer experience, and sustainability. They oversee capital investment planning and provide strategic input to major business cases, supported by robust governance, performance reporting, and Executive and Board oversight.
