We're looking for an enthusiastic Cook to work with us at Gwynfa Care Home, Cardiff. This is a permanent role, working 22.5 hours per week
. Please note that we are not offering sponsorship with this role.
You'll be in a key role where you can make a difference. You'll ensure our tenants are provided with healthy, high quality options for lunch and evening meals. You'll ensure a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen. You'll also be responsible for directing and supervising kitchen staff and ensuring they are also aware of their responsibilities with regard to food hygiene and preparation.
WhatYou'll Need
To be successful in this role you'll need to have the skills and knowledge to communicate clearly and provide a first class service to tenants. You'll need to have a food hygiene certificate and catering experience based in a professional setting. You'll be well organised and have the ability to work with your own initiative to meet deadlines, which may be under pressure.

Gwynfa is a residential care home in the Llanishen area of Cardiff and provides accommodation for 16 residents, each with their own private bedroom. The project provides 24-hour care and support for elderly and people who have experienced poor mental health.
