Job Description Suppleo Education are proud to be working in partnership with a fantastic education provision who are seeking enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join the Refectory team on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible. These are temporary positions – Up to 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday) with the opportunity to apply for a permanent post once in role

Due to the location of the role within an education environment, an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS check is essential. Full compliance checks, including references, must be completed prior to commencement.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Supporting the efficient operation of the refectory and college catering outlets

* Assisting with food service, including cash handling

* Providing support for food production operations

* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across refectory areas

* Assisting with laundry services for the refectories

* Managing the movement of food and goods, including lifting and transporting stock across college sites

* Maintaining the in-house vending service

* Working flexibly to meet the needs of the refectory provision

* Promoting healthy eating to all customers

* Supporting hospitality services as required

* Representing the College positively through excellent customer service

* Keeping Food Hygiene and Health & Safety training up to date

* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements, the Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene Regulations 2006, and HACCP procedures

What We’re Looking For

* Experience in a catering or customer service environment is desirable

* A proactive, reliable, and customer-focused approach

* Ability to work as part of a busy team

Pay Rate

 * £13 - 13.45 per hour
