Salary: Grade 6 - £27,269 - £30,060
This is a fixed term post or secondment for 37 hours a week until 31st March 2026.
Communities for Work+ (CfW+) is a Welsh Government programme tackling poverty through sustainable employment, providing intensive employment mentoring and support.
Communities for Work Plus provides specialist employment advisory support and intensive mentoring to people who are under‑represented in the labour market, including young, old and disabled people;
Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people; and those with care responsibilities. The programme focuses on increasing the employability of economically inactive and long‑term unemployed adults who have complex barriers to employment.
The Employer Liaison and Work Placement Officer works within the CfW+ local delivery team based in Pembrokeshire. You will be expected to deliver effective and sustained working relationships with micro businesses, sole traders, and other employers to secure appropriate work‑based training and employability opportunities for participants.
You will identify employment opportunities for participants while actively promoting the programme’s services to a wide range of stakeholders. You will have responsibility for liaising with employers to source vacancies and opportunities and to provide in‑work support for participants.
You will identify and establish contacts with local employers through innovative outreach and marketing activities to promote Communities for Work+, its services and the benefits of recruiting its participants.
You will work collaboratively with other employer liaison functions both internally and externally to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to developing and maintaining successful employer relations and opportunities for participants.
You will provide a flexible, high‑quality service and be expected to work as part of an integrated team.
You must have access to a car as work requires coverage throughout Pembrokeshire and attendance at meetings/forums across Wales will be required.
