General Accountant

Royal Engineered Composites is seeking a General Accountant to maintain complete and accurate accounting records, apply appropriate accounting principles, and support financial reporting and accounting functions.

• Assist the Accounting Clerk with Accounts Payable processing, reconciliations, and problem resolution. Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable duties as needed.
• Create customer invoices, ensuring all supporting paperwork is received and customer terms are accurate.
• Manage the collectability of Accounts Receivable accounts, assist in developing and implementing processes for timely collections.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to manage Accounts Receivable.
• Review metrics used by Royal to communicate status on Accounts Receivable and work with Finance VP to develop/revise metrics as necessary.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accuracy of payroll‑related entries to the general ledger and payments to payroll‑related vendors for taxes, benefits, and charitable contributions.
• Assist with month‑end financial period close: post journals, review variances, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, maintain documentation, and other duties as necessary.
• Assist with annual budgeting process.
• Maintain documentation of accounting procedures and policies.
• Follow up on discrepancies in the above areas and recommend process improvements.
• Manage deposit record‑keeping and maintain bank account balances.
• Maintain customer and vendor information in ERP system.
• Assist with bid cost submittals and cost audits.
• Maintain reliable attendance and abide by safety, quality, personnel, and other policies.
