Boys Town Youth Associate

The Boys Town Youth Associate role is dedicated to allowing Boys Town youth the opportunity to learn, grow, and work as part of the Boys Town community. Works on a variety of tasks to support the Boys Town mission. Various Part‑Time positions available for work after school and on weekends. This role is only for Youth attending the Boys Town Education Center.

Responsible for working on a variety of assigned administrative tasks. Connect with supervisor to learn the duties and function of the area assigned. Work alongside Boys Town employees to carry out basic functions to support the department needs. Meet regularly with supervisor and other team leads to “check back”, and complete projects as assigned. Proactively demonstrate qualities of a positive and hardworking employee.

Build experience and work knowledge for future career growth.

• Ability to sort documents or other relevant materials quickly and correctly, according to need, including chronologic, numeric, or alphabetical order.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.

• Minimum 16 years of age required.
• Family Home Consultant approval required.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in an office or file room setting is preferred.

This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization. Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.

Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
