    November 16, 2026, through February 15, 2027
  • Schedule: Approximately 5 days of coverage per month, including one week in November and one to two weeks in December
  • Identified Coverage Blocks: November 16 at 7:00 a.m. through November 22 at 7:00 a.m.;
    December 7 at 7:00 a.m. through December 13 at 7:00 a.m.
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts; coverage may include 24-hour call periods from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,460-5,850
  • Annual Volume: Approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 4,000 cytology cases
  • Technology: Cerner electronic medical record and Voicebrook dictation system
  • Clinical Support: Pathology assistant and dedicated pathology team
Pathologist

Job Requirements
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certification in Pathology required; candidates who are truly board eligible may be considered
  • Fellowship training required
  • At least 1 year of relevant pathology experience; 1-2 years preferred
  • Active Pennsylvania physician license required;
    Interstate Medical Licensure Compact participation may be accepted
  • Clinical experience in anatomic and clinical pathology, including GI, fluids, lymphoma, gynecologic pathology, breast, and lung cases
  • Experience with histotechnology, radiology, endoscopy-guided fine-needle aspiration, and frozen sections
  • Ability to complete a virtual slide review with the medical director or pathology team
  • CV must include education and work history in month/year format; gaps of 30 days or more must be explained
Locum Tenens Pathology Responsibilities
  • Provide anatomic and clinical pathology services for an adult patient population
  • Interpret surgical pathology, cytology, and other laboratory specimens with attention to diagnostic accuracy and timely turnaround
  • Evaluate GI, fluid, lymphoma, gynecologic, breast, and lung specimens
  • Perform and interpret frozen sections
  • Support fine-needle aspiration procedures performed in radiology and endoscopy settings
  • Collaborate with pathology assistants who provide grossing support
  • Work with hist technology and laboratory colleagues to support diagnostic testing
  • Use in-house immunohistochemistry resources and document findings in Cerner and Voicebrook
  • Participate in scheduled call and provide timely consultation to clinical teams
