Job Summary:Chadron State College is seeking a Psychological Sciences faculty member who is broadly trained in psychology and will create a student‑centered learning environment across many instructional modalities. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses as across the discipline as assigned by the Dean and will support students through instruction, advising, and mentoring. The faculty member participates in the department and the institution’s communities of learners to foster a culture of inquiry, critical self‑reflection, evidence‑based decision making, and a learner‑centered environment.
Essential Duties:1. Contribute to students' academic growth and development, which includes:
• Teaching – maintain competence and professional conduct in the classroom, facilitate active learning, use diverse instructional methods, assess student progress, and continuously update course content.
• Advising – help students plan programs of study, provide academic and career counseling, and support retention and success strategies.
• Service – participate in departmental, college, and community service through committees, presentations, and outreach.
2. Engage in scholarly and creative activity:
• Participate in academic organizations, present research, publish scholarly work, seek external funding, and demonstrate evidence of achievement and contribution to the field.
3. Perform professional services outside the discipline that contribute to the college:
• Serve on campus committees, engage in accreditation activities, support student organizations, and promote collegial relations.
Other duties as assigned by the Dean.

Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in Psychology.
Terminal degree is required for tenure.
Doctorate or ABD in Psychology.
Experience in teaching and research/scholarship, effective use of technology to facilitate student learning, and knowledge of program assessment.
Successful background records check required.
On‑campus teaching.
