Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As Electrical QA Inspector you inspect switch gear, transformers, cable, terminations and grounding — much of which is buried or energized before anyone else gets a second look.
What you get to do:- Inspect switch gear, transformer and busduct installation.
- Verify cable installation, segregation, terminations and megger results.
- Inspect grounding and bonding systems before they are buried.
- Review factory test reports and site test records.
- Attend client hold points and record findings.
- Raise and drive closure of nonconformances.
- 7+ years inspecting electrical installation on power plants.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 and NETA testing standards.
- Hands-on experience with medium voltage equipment installation.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
- Technical qualification, or equivalent years of field experience.
- OSHA 30 — provided by the project after mobilization if you do not already hold it.
