Position Summary
This position, under general supervision, plans, organizes and coordinates various permit processes, and assists with safety policies and plans, complying with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) standards relative to Western Sand and Gravel operations. This position is on-call for emergency situations and must report on-site within 30 minutes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management/engineering or related field; and
- 2 years previous experience in construction, skilled trades, maintenance or related; or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses
- Valid Driver’s License
Skills and Abilities
- Must have working knowledge of construction and building equipment.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, plants or other structures such as highways and roads.
- Must have good troubleshooting skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and accurately obtain necessary information from related source documents/data such as design plans and specifications, and other reference materials.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, evaluate resource documents, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
