Duties and Responsibilities- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT across various rural healthcare settings.
- Assist with carrying out individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established OT goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, functional mobility activities, therapeutic exercises, and use of appropriate modalities (as permitted by state practice acts).
- Document interventions, patient progress, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families on safety, adaptive techniques, home exercises, and strategies to support greater independence.
- Adapt smoothly to new clinical environments, workflows, and patient populations.
- Collaborate with OTs and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, effective care.
- Monitor patient performance and communicate observations to the OT to help inform ongoing treatment planning.
- Participate in continued professional development and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (or anticipated graduation).
- Current COTA license (or eligibility) in at least one state we serve; willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
- Strong adaptability and comfort working in diverse clinical environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
- Interest in rural healthcare and supporting rehabilitation teams across multiple communities.
- Willingness to travel and complete short-term assignments.
