Somali Interpreter

Job Overview

We are seeking qualified, fully bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in‑person interpretation services for local Nebraska clients. Immediate need for Somali interpreters in the Omaha area. This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours; availability Monday‑Friday 7 AM‑5 PM is required.

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance
• Must have transportation to attend appointments locally (IN PERSON)
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part‑time or less depending on languages spoken; flexible based on interpreter availability and preferences.
