Tigrinya Interpreter

We are a busy interpreting service provider seeking hard‑working, fully‑bilingual Tigrinya interpreters in the Omaha area to provide in‑person interpretation for local Nebraska clients. This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Applicants must have transportation to attend appointments locally and be available Monday‑Friday, 7 AM‑5 PM for services that are needed as they arise.

• Fully bilingual in Tigrinya and English
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality & HIPAA compliance
• Must have transportation to local appointments
• Technical skills for using an online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required

As a service provider for medical facilities, we require all interpreter candidates to provide proof of vaccination. Candidates with a medical or religious exemption must submit documentation. All information will be handled confidentially per applicable laws.
