• Follow standard operating procedures, safety policies, and written orders.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. and meet physical requirements – standing, bending, climbing, and crawling on hard surfaces.
• Wear required PPE: safety glasses, safety‑toed footwear, hard hat, and other area‑specific gear.
• Work in a noisy environment and complete tasks within time limits and quality standards.
• Read tape measure, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Develop thorough knowledge of products, options, and usage.
• Cross‑train in related departments and communicate with leaders when parts run low.
• Maintain safe work area and report safety discrepancies.
• Be willing to become a certified welder and perform tack welding and rough settings.

• Execute proper fixturing, build from blueprints, and use hand tools, sanders, grinders, plasma cutter, torch, shear bar‑angle, and iron saw.
• Perform welding of ladder components, torque box, and miscellaneous parts; sand and grind welds to meet quality standards.
• Identify and place parts, set welder for weld type, and perform NDT testing acceptance standards.
• Read weld symbols and specifications on blueprints.

• Pass a flat weld test in aluminum and steel.

• Eye injuries from UV exposure – wear approved helmet and face shield.
• Burns – wear PPE while welding.
• Trips & falls – keep aisles clear.
• Heavy lifting – use mechanical aids when lifting over 75 lbs.
• Air quality – wear respirator when required.

Perform other duties as assigned.
