Maintenance Mechanic

• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of mill or packaging and production machines and other facility equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication for repairs on designated equipment and facilities.
• Installs, maintains and repairs various electrical control circuits, including single-phase and 3-phase systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs PLC control production machines.
• Reads and interprets schematics and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs of the building's interior and exterior, including minor plumbing, carpentry, interior lighting such as ballasts and lamps, interior fans, etc.
• Performs minor routine maintenance on HVAC (changing air filters, etc.).
• Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts, and repairs to meet regulatory compliance and budget constraints.
• Communicates with management and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
• Complies with company safety policies and maintains clean and orderly work area and GMP and SQF procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
• Provide operational support outside of the maintenance role, such as harvest, product loading and unloading, warehouse/utilities duties, and other areas as assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

MUST-HAVES:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driver's License in good standing.
• Operation of powered industrial equipment.
• Occasional travel to other facilities within the United States.
• Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment.
• Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
• Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.

NICE-TO-HAVES:

• Formal industrial maintenance training
• Maintenance experience in food manufacturing
• Two + years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, including mechanical, electrical, and PLC.
